The third edition of the European Mineralogical Conference (EMC2021) was held online from 29 August to 2 September 2021. The organisation of the event involved direct contact with conference participants, substantive arrangements with the Scientific and Organising Committees, providing online registration and payment facilities for participants, and a dedicated virtual conference platform to host two specialist workshops on the day preceding the conference, supporting four parallel thematic sessions throughout the five days of the conference, as well as organisational support for accompanying virtual(a virtual tour of Kraków with a live guide and an online string concert).
